Library cart with movable floor
The work of a librarian is undoubtedly facilitated by the use of a cart with a movable floor. It collects books returned by users directly from the drop box or sorter. The floor of the empty cart rises to minimize the impact of falling books. As the cart is filled, the floor gradually drops under the weight of the books, thus increasing available space to accept further publications.
The cart is equipped with a wide handle and swivel wheels that allow free manoeuvring between library shelves. Two of the four wheels have mechanical brakes that can be used to lock the cart. An outer rubber band protects the bookcases and the cart itself from damage. In addition, it is possible to adjust the weight at which the floor is lowered — depending on the type of publication in a particular library.
