RFID drop box
RFID drop boxes can be used in those libraries where the time required for the return of books is significantly limited due to their operation. Properly identified items are accepted, and the information about them is sent to the library system.
The device makes it possible to accept books at any time, even outside the working hours of the library. It recognises the returned items based on the data stored in the RFID library tag affixed to each book, and after identifying the user it sends this information to the library system. The user account is updated immediately, and the returned items are placed directly in a cart featuring a movable floor.
Extensive systems for automatic RFID returns are equipped with a sorter which directs the returned items to separate library carts according to a set of defined parameters.
